As a Senior Project Manager (Water & Wastewater), you will oversee the engineering components of various projects, including traditional, design-build, design-bid-build, and collaborative delivery models. These projects will involve advanced treatment facilities, underground conveyance systems, and carbon-neutral solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians on prominent municipal projects.
- Mentor and manage engineering staff, supporting their professional development.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and client communications to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution:
- Develop complex engineering deliverables for large-scale projects.
- Conduct research to recommend suitable equipment and materials.
- Perform advanced engineering calculations and manage data.
- Oversee budgets, schedules, and quality standards across various disciplines.
- Coordinate the activities of multidisciplinary teams and assume leadership of project responsibilities.
Client Engagement:
- Identify client priorities and translate these into actionable project plans.
- Address client concerns with customised solutions.
- Support business development and proposal efforts.
- Manage project changes in collaboration with clients and the Project Manager.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide leadership for intricate water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Guide multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
- Foster innovative, practical solutions that meet client needs.
Management:
- Review and oversee the work of junior engineers.
- Handle hiring, performance management, and compensation decisions for your team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience in engineering consulting.
- Expertise in managing multi-disciplinary wastewater treatment plant upgrades and expansions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to complete pre-employment requirements, including background checks and drug screening, in accordance with applicable laws.
Certifications:
- Professional registration or licensure is required or must be actively pursued, depending on the nature of the work.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid schedule: three days in the office, two days remote.
- Occasional travel to client sites.
