Company Overview:
We are currently partnered with a national mechanical contractor with offices across the US - Ohio, California, Texas, Arizona and Pennsylvania. They specialize in mechanical systems for healthcare, industrial, federal and commercial projects - typically large scale but do perform some smaller and special projects. The company have an extensive backlog of work spanning over the past few years and are looking to strengthen their team with experienced project managers, ideally at a senior level.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects through to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop project plans, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet requirements.
- Oversee project team members, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all project teams and stakeholders.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Associate's Degree, trade apprenticeship or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of project management experience with mechanical contractors.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex mechanical projects $15M+
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and/or piping systems.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
