About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a Water Treatment Plant project based in regional Sydney. This role requires a strong understanding of project management, multi-disciplinary engineering, and construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of the project, ensuring it meets quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Manage all aspects of the Water Treatment Plant project from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Engineering & Construction Oversight: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure technical excellence and compliance with industry standards.
Budget & Cost Management: Develop and manage project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial efficiency.
Schedule & Timeline Management: Create project schedules, track progress, and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with clients, regulatory bodies, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment.
Risk Management: Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Contract & Procurement Management: Oversee contracts, procurement, and vendor relationships to ensure project requirements are met.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
10+ years of project management experience, with a strong background in water treatment plant projects.
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects with a focus on engineering and construction.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of local and international water industry regulations is highly desirable.
PMP or equivalent Project Management certification is a plus.
