As a Senior Project Manager specializing in residential projects, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects that meet client expectations. This involves managing internal team efforts as well as coordinating with third-party contractors or consultants to ensure project success. You will define project objectives, oversee quality control, and manage timelines and budgets. Your key responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
- Define and establish project scope, schedule, and budget, maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle
- Communicate project objectives and timelines to all involved parties and ensure they are met
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, maintaining frequent communication and leading client meetings
- Prepare project proposals and manage a team of technicians, assigning workloads as needed
- Report project status and performance to executive leadership
- Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with contractual agreements
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
- Coordinate with clients, outside agencies, and consultants for sub-consultant needs and jurisdictional reviews
- Foster cooperation from upper management, clients, and internal departments
- Resolve client and project issues effectively
- Handle client invoicing and track accounts receivable monthly
- Build and maintain business relationships with existing clients
- Create a positive work environment by mentoring, coaching, and training team members for professional development
- Perform other project and supervisory duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 10 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of experience in managing or assisting with projects in design and construction-related fields
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Deltek, Newforma, and Paylocity
- Strong communication and delegation skills
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in managing and mentoring a team
