An international MEP firm is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer or Designer to join our team. The Senior Engineer/Designer will manage multiple projects independently, covering both design and construction phases. Responsibilities include preparing contract documents and specifications for complex building systems, performing advanced calculations, systems analysis, quality control, and coordinating field/construction activities.
Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems, including equipment selection, for medium to large commercial projects.
- Evaluate system options and assess existing systems as needed.
- Coordinate project document completion.
- Ensure designs comply with code, using AutoCAD and Revit as preferred by the architect.
- Write specifications.
- Provide bid and construction phase services, including bid reviews, responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, participating in project walk-throughs, and preparing field observation reports.
- Serve as a technical expert and resource for the office, proficient in various HVAC systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical focus.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in CAD required; Revit preferred.
- PE license preferred.
