Job Description
- Leading Highway Design & Analysis: The Senior Highway Department Manager will be responsible for the design and structural analysis of a variety of highway projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. - Managing Projects: The manager will manage multiple highway projects simultaneously, overseeing the development of project schedules, budgets, and timelines while ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in highway design and transportation engineering, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from concept to completion.
- Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, and a Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State (or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with highway design and analysis software, including SAP2000, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering tools.
- Leadership & Mentorship: A demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
