We are representing an engineering firm headquartered in Washington. They have a growing office in Dallas due to the rise in TxDOT work they have been receiving and they are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to come in and assist with the growth. They are working on large scale projects including DFW airport where they are the lead consultancy on multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical investigations for TxDOT and airport projects.
- Perform detailed geotechnical analyses and design for foundations, earth structures, pavements, and retaining walls.
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Minimum of 8 years of geotechnical engineering experience, with significant experience on TxDOT and airport projects.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel for project site visits and meetings as needed.
