Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team on a full-time remote basis. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in providing technical expertise, leadership, and project management in geotechnical engineering projects across Texas. The successful candidate must hold a Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Responsibilities:
Geotechnical Analysis and Design:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, site assessments, and soil-structure interaction analyses.
- Provide technical expertise in the design of foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical structures.
- Perform slope stability analyses, settlement analyses, and liquefaction assessments.
Project Management:
- Manage geotechnical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with clients to address project requirements.
Report Preparation:
- Prepare clear and concise geotechnical reports and documentation for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal purposes.
- Provide recommendations based on geotechnical analyses and findings.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the quality of geotechnical engineering deliverables through rigorous review and adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Remote Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with remote teams using digital communication tools to facilitate effective project collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Strong proficiency in geotechnical analysis software and AutoCAD.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage and lead geotechnical projects.
