Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tunneling, water infrastructure, and dam design and rehabilitation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects and contribute to the development of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and site assessments for tunneling, water infrastructure, and dam projects.
- Perform soil and rock mechanics analysis to support design and construction activities.
- Develop and review geotechnical design reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical support during construction, including field inspections and monitoring.
- Evaluate and mitigate geotechnical risks associated with project sites.
- Participate in the planning and execution of geotechnical testing programs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on tunneling, water infrastructure, and dam design and rehabilitation.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and modeling tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
