The Role:
As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and growing a team of environmental professionals. This includes providing oversight, mentorship, and staff development to ensure the team's success. You will oversee environmental efforts for a variety of infrastructure projects from the planning phase through construction and ensure compliance with Texas and federal environmental laws and regulations, including NEPA and the Clean Water Act.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields - Urban Planning, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Geology, or Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 20 years of experience in environmental compliance discipline is desired, although consideration will be given to candidates with less experience if they possess significant relevant experience. Specific experience in environmental documentation preparation, traffic noise modeling, wetland delineations, permitting processes, or related environmental compliance areas is valuable.
Business Development: Proven track record in business development and experience in effectively communicating and coordinating with clients.
Project Management: Ability to develop and manage scope, fee estimates, and schedules for multiple projects.
Team Player: Strong team-oriented attitude and the ability to work cooperatively as a team leader and team player.
Texas Familiarity: Familiarization with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Environmental Management System is a plus.
