Salary: $150,000 - $205,000

Opportunity: A talented electrical engineer is needed to support federal, ports, and/or infrastructure projects in the Seattle office. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the design of federal, ports, and/or infrastructure projects.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer license required
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- Ability to lead electrical design projects and a team of design engineers
- Proficiency in QAQC on electrical projects and mentoring emerging professionals
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Self-motivated, inquisitive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit
- Strong record-keeping and organizational skills
- Must be a US Citizen
Working Knowledge:
- National Electrical Code (required)
- Washington State Codes (preferred)
- Unified Facilities Criteria (preferred)
- ETAP/SKM (preferred)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Revit (a plus)
- AutoCAD (a plus)
Duties:
Pre-Design Engineering:
- Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports
- Prepare electrical schematic designs
Design Engineering:
- Design power single line and riser diagrams
- Perform electrical calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP/SKM
- Design low voltage and medium voltage infrastructure
- Understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards
- Working knowledge of National Electrical Code, Washington Codes, and Energy Standards to design electrical systems
- Coordinate among different disciplines, such as mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural
- Work closely with the entire design team
Project Management:
- Manage multiple large-size projects involving other senior engineers and sub-consultants
- Provide mentorship to design engineers
- Prepare proposals independently for clients
- Actively develop business with new and existing clients
Construction Administration:
- Review and respond to RFIs
- Review equipment submittals
- Perform punch walks and prepare punch list reports
