We have a current partnering up with a leading Offshore Wind developer to hire a Senior Business Development Manager in Taiwan.
Position Overview:
The Senior Business Development Manager - Offshore Wind will be a key player in identifying and developing new business opportunities within the offshore wind sector. This role requires a deep understanding of offshore wind projects, including project finance, investment management, and the ability to navigate large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in offshore wind or oil & gas sectors. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in project financing, investment management, and a strategic mindset to drive the growth of the offshore wind portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development activities for offshore wind projects, identifying new investment opportunities and market trends.
- Engage with potential investors, financial institutions, and stakeholders to secure project financing for large-scale offshore wind infrastructure projects.
- Conduct financial modeling, risk assessments, and investment analysis for prospective offshore wind projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and legal, to structure and negotiate commercial terms for offshore wind projects.
- Foster relationships with key industry players, including government bodies, project developers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends, policy developments, and regulatory changes to ensure strategic alignment in business development efforts.
- Prepare and present business cases, financial models, and investment proposals to senior management and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and career development.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development, project finance, or investment roles within the offshore wind, renewable energy, or oil & gas infrastructure sectors.
- Strong background in project finance, investment analysis, financial modeling, and risk management for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in successfully securing and managing large project investments in offshore wind or similar industries.
- Extensive network in the offshore wind or energy sector, including government, investors, and developers.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, environmental policies, and permitting processes related to offshore wind development.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Previous experience in offshore wind project development or management, particularly in the context of international markets.
- Understanding of environmental and sustainability principles in renewable energy projects.
- Familiarity with offshore wind technologies and installation processes.
