Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Post-Sales Design Engineer with experience in federal projects and proficiency in a wide range of AV systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, implementing, and supporting AV solutions for government clients. As a Post-Sales Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful deployment and integration of AV systems following the sale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and develop tailored AV system designs.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance to clients during the post-sales phase, ensuring seamless system integration and functionality.
- Design and engineer AV solutions using a variety of technologies, including Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, and other leading AV systems.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather detailed information and develop accurate design plans.
- Create comprehensive system design documents, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment lists.
- Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly and meet project specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during and after installation.
- Provide training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of installed AV systems.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in AV technology, particularly those relevant to federal applications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in AV system design and integration, with a focus on federal projects.
- Proficiency with a wide range of AV systems, including Crestron, AMX, Extron, and Biamp.
- Strong understanding of federal contracting processes and requirements.
- Excellent technical skills in designing and troubleshooting complex AV systems.
- Ability to create detailed technical documentation and design schematics.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS-D, Crestron Certified Designer) are highly desirable.
- Security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required.
