Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Designer to join our client's dynamic team in Salisbury, MD. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver with a deep understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, and project management. This individual will play a key role in leading design projects, collaborating with clients and stakeholders, and mentoring junior designers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the conceptualization and development of architectural designs from initial concept to construction documentation.
Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and budget constraints.
Prepare detailed drawings, renderings, and specifications using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure design feasibility and compliance with local building codes.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and sustainability practices.
Review and approve technical documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
8+ years of experience in architectural design, preferably with a focus on commercial, residential, or institutional projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural software.
Strong knowledge of local and national building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes.
Excellent design, visualization, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Professional licensure (preferred but not required).
