Job Description:
The Senior Architect will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of public transit projects. This position requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of public transit facilities, as well as the ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in public transit design, and a passion for creating efficient, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing transit environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of public transit projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to develop project concepts and design solutions
- Produce design drawings, construction documents, and presentations
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications

Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, with a focus on public transit projects
- Licensed Architect preferred
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction detailing specific to public transit facilities
- Proficiency in Revit and other design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and 3D visualization tools
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
