Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Aboriginal Heritage Consultant to join their Sydney team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and delivering Aboriginal heritage projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines, and providing expert advice to their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Aboriginal heritage assessments and surveys.
- Prepare high-quality reports, including significance and impact assessments, conservation management plans, and heritage strategies.
- Liaise with Aboriginal communities, clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Provide expert advice on Aboriginal heritage matters to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Mentor and support junior staff members.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in Aboriginal heritage consulting (minimum five years of experience).
- Strong knowledge of Commonwealth, State, and Local Government heritage legislation and policies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality outcomes.
