Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Remote SCADA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining SCADA systems in industrial environments. This role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including automation engineers, software developers, and end-users, to ensure robust and efficient SCADA solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, program, and maintain SCADA systems, including HMI interfaces and data communication networks.
Develop and implement SCADA applications using industry-standard platforms (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware, GE iFIX, AVEVA, VTScada, etc.).
Integrate SCADA with PLCs, RTUs, and other industrial control devices.
Optimize and troubleshoot SCADA system performance and reliability.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices for SCADA and industrial networks.
Provide technical support and remote troubleshooting for clients.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver custom automation solutions tailored to client needs.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for SCADA configurations and implementations.
Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in industrial automation and SCADA.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in SCADA system development and deployment.
Strong expertise in SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware, AVEVA, GE iFIX, VTScada, or similar.
Proficiency in industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, MQTT, etc.).
Hands-on experience integrating SCADA with PLCs, RTUs, and industrial control systems.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, cybersecurity, and industrial automation best practices.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, control narratives, and system schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in cloud-based SCADA implementations and IIoT solutions.
Knowledge of SQL databases and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
Previous experience with data analytics and reporting tools for SCADA.
