Job Description
Due to significant growth, we are seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join our expanding team. This role is responsible for growing and maintaining individual territory accounts and developing new business opportunities. Qualified applicants must have knowledge and understanding of water treatment processes, including membrane-related applications, along with troubleshooting, system optimization, and cost savings.
Responsibilities
- Achieve regional and individual territory revenue growth targets
- Serve as the primary customer contact for technical issues, correspondence, periodic updates, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Identify opportunities to expand projects in ways that bring value to customers
- Ensure delivered products and services achieve the highest quality and performance levels
- Interact with key stakeholders, including customers, consultants, engineers, contractors, and internal staff
- Provide technical support to customers, identifying and resolving challenges
- Participate in training, as well as regional and annual sales meetings
Technical Requirements
- Experience in water and wastewater treatment plant design, construction, and operation
- Understanding of membrane fundamentals and processes
- General understanding of membrane pretreatment processes
- Knowledge of membrane fouling and scaling
- System process knowledge to identify potential chemical opportunities
- Basic troubleshooting skills
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) is preferred but not required
- Minimum of 3 years of water treatment operations or sales experience in an engineering setting, equipment supplier, or membrane plant operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CRM systems
- Ability and willingness to travel ~30%
- Valid work authorization for permanent employment in the US
- Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms for technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-starter, autonomous, and highly motivated
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Independent, motivated, and takes ownership and accountability
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results while maintaining positive relationships
- This position is subject to logistics and/or chemical handling training, including those regulated by Federal, State, and City agencies, such as the Department of Transportation (D.O.T), IATA, and IMO, specific to Class 8 Corrosive products. Required training will be provided via qualified third-party entities.
