Role Summary: They are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager to join their team and make a significant impact. This role involves overseeing a team of direct reports and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a team of 2-4 accountants working on renewable energy projects.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly and quarterly financial closings.
- Review journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Coordinate data requests and support annual audits.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
- Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting and/or financial reporting.
- Experience in the renewable energy sector or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Public accounting experience.
- CPA certification.
- Proficiency with ERP systems.
