Position Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a minimum of 10+ years of experience, including significant experience working with transit structures, to join their remote team. The ideal candidate will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and possess a strong background in structural analysis, design, and project management. This role offers the flexibility of remote work while requiring occasional site visits and client meetings within the Bay Area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for various types of buildings and infrastructure projects, with a focus on transit structures.
- Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Utilize advanced software tools for modeling, analysis, and design.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with a focus on transit structures.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
