Overview:
As an Air Quality Project Manager, you will be responsible for a range of tasks related to atmospheric emissions from proposed processes and equipment, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Your duties will involve performing engineering calculations, preparing permit application documents, coordinating with clients to gather and understand project details, communicating with regulatory agency personnel, and assessing control technologies for client facilities. Additionally, you will manage air services projects, overseeing the scope, schedule, and budget for each assigned project.
Qualifications:
- 8 years or more of experience in consulting, compliance, or industry roles.
- Familiarity with various state and USEPA air quality regulations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Meteorology, or related fields.
- Proficiency in leak detection and repair, atmospheric emission inventory calculations, air permit application preparation, and pollution control technologies.
- Experience managing technical air services projects, either as a consultant or client.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of New Source Review permitting procedures.
- Knowledge of air compliance requirements for natural gas, manufacturing (including steel and chemical), and power industries.
- Experience with dispersion modeling using AERMOD.
