Job Title: Architect II
Location: New York City, NY
Job Summary: The Architect II handles technical design aspects of projects, including investigation, evaluation, and recommending solutions. Working under the Project Architect or Manager, this role involves producing high-quality designs and documentation on time and within budget, while independently managing various design tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow company and client guidelines, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Stay updated on projects and resources.
- Use architectural skills in drawing, rendering, and presentations.
- Communicate effectively with team, clients, and contractors.
- Proficiently use software to produce high-quality drawings.
- Assist in coordinating project tasks.
- Ensure accuracy and completion of assignments.
- Prepare design and construction documents.
- Understand building systems, codes, and construction methods.
- Foster a collaborative team environment.
- Conduct research as needed.
- Participate in contract administration.
- Mentor less experienced designers.
- Travel to project sites or design offices as required.
- Contribute to project, studio, and firm success.
- Write reports and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Registered Architect
- 5-8+ years of experience
- Degree from an accredited architectural program
- Strong understanding of building systems and documentation
- Proficient with Revit software
- Experience in hospitality and New York City projects is a plus
Salary Range: $105,000 - $120,000 per year
