PV Project Engineer - Yokohama
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description: As a project engineer, you will evaluate contractors' and suppliers' obligations, schedules, budgets, and performance goals from an independent perspective. You will also provide advice on financing, analysis, testing, and engineering services as an independent technical advisor to lenders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project management and client communication
- Design review and project-related document review
- Preparation of energy yield forecast reports and technical due diligence reports
- On-site testing, inspection, and evaluation of solar power plants
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in the solar power industry
- Practical experience in solar power projects
- Proficiency in English for clear communication
- Japanese (JLPT N2 or above)
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with PV Syst
- Knowledge and experience in wind power and battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Familiarity with international standards (IEC, EN, UL) or local standards (JIS)
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
- Effective communication with clients and stakeholders
- Willingness to travel on-site across Japan (several times per month during peak periods)
