Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our MEP team in Milwaukee. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing MEP projects, overseeing the execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems design and installation. The role will involve managing multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline targets are met. A preference will be given to candidates with a Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage MEP projects from initial planning and design through project completion.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure clear communication and timely project delivery.
- Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring adherence to cost and timeline constraints.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of project teams, providing guidance and support to engineers, designers, and field personnel.
- Manage and review MEP designs, ensuring compliance with all codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare and present project proposals, estimates, and progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project health.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure high client satisfaction and project success.
- Supervise the procurement of materials and services, ensuring that all necessary resources are available to meet project milestones.
- Conduct site visits to inspect work progress, address issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Prepare and manage contract documentation, change orders, and project closeout reports.
- Ensure safety standards and environmental requirements are met on all project sites.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the MEP sector.
- Strong experience in managing MEP projects, from design through to construction and commissioning.
- Excellent proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of local building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred but not required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
