We are leading a search for experienced mechanical project managers in the DC-Maryland area to join a nationwide general contractor with an office local to the DMV. Our client is a giant in the mechanical space in the region, specializing in large-scale data centers and government projects, and is looking for passionate and driven project managers with experience on these sorts of projects to join their team and help their company expand further.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage large-scale ground-up mechanical projects in the DC area from start to finish
- Build and foster relations with existing clients and maintain the company's high-tier reputation
- Handle smaller change orders and procurement
- Manage a team of laborers and tradesmen to execute mission critical mechanical projects on time and on budget
- Navigate unexpected issues and changes that may arise on site with speed and integrity
Key requirements
- Minimum 5+ years working for a mechanical contractor in a project management role as a requirement
- Experience working on projects worth $35m+ an absolute requirement
- Project history on large-scale mission critical projects a MASSIVE plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and relate to people
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems - huge plus if you started out in the trades as a steamfitter or pipefitter!
