Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a critical railway bridge project in Wilmington, NC. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in managing complex infrastructure projects, particularly within the realms of bridges, marine, or structural engineering. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage a high-profile project with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of the railway bridge project, from planning through to completion, ensuring all timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, subcontractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, environmental policies, and other applicable laws.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and local communities, ensuring transparency and addressing concerns.
- Identify potential risks and issues and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Review contracts, specifications, and project documents to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.
- Manage procurement processes, including sourcing materials, contractors, and services needed for the project.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on bridge, marine, or structural projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including risk management, cost control, and schedule management.
- Previous experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally in the transportation or railway sectors.
- Knowledge of local construction codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with marine or maritime bridge projects is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore), and other construction management tools.
