Position Overview:
The organization is seeking a Project Manager based in Virginia. This role involves coordinating, planning, directing, and supervising the resources and activities required for the successful implementation of various customer projects. The Project Manager works closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure goals are achieved on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project teams, overseeing delegation, conflict resolution, risk management, change orders, planning, scheduling, and project performance audits.
- Maintain consistent communication and manage expectations with customers throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, including kick-off, submittals, approvals, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning.
- Monitor and manage project financials, including budgets, schedules, revenue, invoices, procurement, and payments, while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and addressing process inefficiencies.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
- Collaborate with internal resources to assist in design efforts, product selection, or evaluations as required.
- Promote standardization, continuous improvement, and financial performance across projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer issues related to equipment quality, service, or on-site incidents.
- Provide feedback to product development teams for future projects, products, and solutions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
- At least three years of project management experience in a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with Procore project management software is preferred, though experience with similar tools will be considered.
- Proven ability to establish and achieve project objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and clients.
- Strong understanding of financial and budgeting principles.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and dynamic environments.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory processes to ensure compliance.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires regular sitting, manual dexterity, reaching, and communication. Occasionally, the role may require standing, walking, climbing, balancing, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment, are also necessary.
Work Environment:
The work environment varies and may include exposure to outside weather conditions, wet or humid environments, extreme temperatures, and moving mechanical parts. The noise level is typically moderate, and occasional exposure to risks such as electrical shock may occur.
Travel Requirements:
The role may require occasional or extended travel based on project needs.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Valid Class C Driver's License.
- OSHA 10 or 30 training preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
