They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join their team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have proficiency and understanding in the following areas:
- Foundation Design: Expertise in both shallow and deep foundation systems.
- Drafting and Navigation: Proficiency in Revit Structure 2019 or newer.
- Complex Analysis: Performing complex vertical and lateral analysis using Risa 3D and ETABS.
- Design Verification: Accurately verifying computer-aided design with hand calculations.
- Hand Sketches: Ability to perform complex hand sketches for details, connections, etc.
- Steel Design: Experience in designing diaphragms, collectors, drag struts, braces frames, moment frames, etc.
- Concrete Design: Proficiency in member scheduling, rebar and bend scheduling, and connections.
- Masonry Design: Expertise in designing and connecting masonry to structural steel and concrete frames.
- Building Codes: Strong understanding of the International Building Code (IBC) as it relates to structural design and all applicable reference codes, including ASCE, AISC, ACI, MSJC, NDS, and PTI.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
