A firm is seeking a skilled Project Architect / Project Manager to lead dynamic Retail, Multifamily, and Mixed-Use projects in Alexandria, VA. This role offers the opportunity to oversee design and project execution while collaborating with clients, consultants, and internal teams to bring vibrant, community-focused developments to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of design and project delivery for retail, multifamily, and mixed-use developments, from concept through construction administration.
- Collaborate with developers, municipalities, and stakeholders to balance design vision, budget, and feasibility.
- Lead project teams, ensuring technical excellence, quality control, and compliance with zoning and building codes.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff and contribute to a culture of collaboration and design excellence.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Architect (or actively pursuing licensure) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in architecture, with a strong portfolio in retail, multifamily, and mixed-use projects.
- Proven experience in project management, consultant coordination, and client engagement.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methods.
- Experience with entitlements, permitting, and urban development is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
