A highly reputable Michigan Architecture firm is seeking a multiple Project Architects to join their team. The ideal candidate will be based in the State of Michigan, have at least 6 years of working experience in design and production-forward Architecture roles, and would bring experience in either the Education or Healthcare markets. Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to identify their requirements, approximate budget, timeline, and potential needs for future expansion.
- Determine clients' preferences regarding materials, styles, colors, and other variables.
- Collaborate with clients to distinguish between their essential needs and desires.
- Assist clients in defining their priorities and vision by preparing preliminary sketches of options.
- Prepare and present designs, specifications, estimated costs, and proposed construction schedules.
- Develop detailed plans that integrate engineering, electrical, and HVAC considerations; present these plans to clients for review and approval.
- Modify new or existing plans as required.
- Prepare scale drawings and contract requirements, then submit them for bids.
- Collaborate with clients to select and award construction contracts.
- Work with the head builder and clients to facilitate the building process according to clients' specifications.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in Architecture + Design; preference for experience in Education, Healthcare, or Civic projects
- Proficiency in design software including Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Sketchup, and Enscape
- Strong understanding of design principles,building codes, construction methods, and construction methods
- Active Architectural registration in the state of Michigan
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and consultation skills
