A leading water specialist is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer. The candidate is expertise in process design, engineering calculations, equipment sizing, multi-project management, and collaboration across cross-functional teams, while ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review initial process design from the proposal/sales team to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Develop detailed process designs and P&IDs in line with project specifications.
- Conduct engineering calculations and determine equipment sizing requirements.
- Analyze project specifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements in company design.
- Create equipment data sheets, including valve lists, equipment lists, piping schedules, and instrument lists.
- Supervise and assess complex equipment skid 3D models for adherence to project specifications.
- Oversee the creation of general arrangement drawings, piping detail drawings, and skid structure arrangement layouts.
- Collaborate with Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation engineers in preparing project documentation.
- Issue inquiries to vendors to obtain price quotations for project needs.
- Review vendor, fabricator, and subcontractor quotations to ensure alignment with project specifications.
- Evaluate engineering deliverable from vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors for compliance with specifications.
- Participate in both internal and external design reviews to ensure project consistency.
- Prepare operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals for project handover.
- Provide support during testing and commissioning phases.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in industrial water/wastewater treatment.
- O&G industry experience is an advantage.
- Proven experience in designing complex skid-based industrial water treatment systems.
- Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Familiarity with industry standards and specifications.
- Ability to work effectively in multi-cultural teams.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
