Principal Transport Modeller - Sydney, Australia
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Transport Modeller in Sydney. This leadership role is perfect for an individual who not only has deep technical expertise but is also driven to win new work and lead exciting transport planning projects across a variety of local and national clients.In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development of innovative transportation solutions while leading teams through all stages of transport modelling projects. You will leverage your experience to directly contribute to the acquisition of new projects and guide the development and application of advanced modelling techniques. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead transport modelling and planning projects from conception to delivery, ensuring high standards of quality and technical excellence.
- Take ownership of winning new work, including proposal writing, client presentations, and strategic business development.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of modellers and technical professionals.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to deliver value and expand the client base.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to provide integrated solutions across a variety of transport projects.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations, integrating cutting-edge techniques into projects.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in transport modelling and planning, with a track record of leading successful projects.
- Strong business development skills, with experience in winning new work and developing client relationships.
- Expertise in transport modelling software and techniques.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and timelines effectively.
- A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience working in the Australian transport industry is highly desirable.
