Principal Electrical Design Engineer
Are you ready to lead impactful engineering projects in the energy industry? We are seeking a dynamic Principal Electrical Design Engineer to drive innovative solutions for critical power uprate initiatives at a premier nuclear facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership as Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE) for design modifications, ensuring project success from inception to completion.
- Define modification scope, system performance, and testing requirements.
- Oversee design analysis, modification packages, and specifications through Owner's Acceptance Reviews.
- Manage supplier teams for cost, schedule, and quality assurance.
- Coordinate resources to deliver and install design change packages.
- Provide hands-on field support during installation, testing, and as-built verification.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including 50.59 and license amendment preparations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- At least 13 years of relevant engineering experience, with 7 years in electrical design engineering.
- Availability for shift work during installations.
- Must meet nuclear plant access requirements and hold a valid U.S. driver's license.
Preferred Experience:
- Expertise in power uprate projects for pressurized water reactors (PWR).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Prior experience in design engineering and configuration control.
