Position Overview: LVI Associates is seeking a Principal Building Enclosure Consultant on behalf of our client to spearhead their Building Envelope Practice in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience, be a licensed professional, and possess a robust book of business. This is a unique opportunity to lead and grow a practice within a dynamic and forward-thinking firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Building Envelope Practice, including business development, project management, and technical oversight.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, leveraging your existing book of business.
- Provide expert consultation on building enclosure systems, including design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, sustainable building solutions.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure our services remain cutting-edge.
- Conduct building envelope assessments and diagnostics to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Oversee the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and professional organizations to enhance the firm's visibility and reputation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in building enclosure consulting.
- Licensed professional (PE, RA, or equivalent).
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and client relationship management.
- Strong technical expertise in building envelope systems, materials, and performance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
