Position: Project Manager / Estimator
Salary: $120,000- $180,000 + Bonus(s)

Position Overview: They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join their team in Portland. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and estimating their heavy civil public works projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of heavy civil public works projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for bidding on projects.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain competitive bids and negotiate contracts.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and stakeholders to achieve project goals and deadlines.
- Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior management and clients.
Experience Needed:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and estimating for heavy civil public works projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects with values exceeding $5 million.
- Experience in estimating and bidding processes, including quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment used in heavy civil projects.
- Familiarity with local regulations, permits, and public agency requirements.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Bluebeam, BidToWin) and project management tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
