Our client, a leader in technology design and integration, is seeking a Physical Security Design Engineer to join their growing Technology Design Integration Team. This remote role is ideal for an experienced security systems designer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality, tailored solutions.
About the Role:
As a Physical Security Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and coordinating enterprise-level security systems for construction projects. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements while adhering to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design security systems using Revu markups (drafting by others)
- Ensure quality control/assurance of security drawings
- Coordinate design elements with MEP trades and project teams
- Develop permittable construction documents that align with architectural and engineering standards
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations based on project requirements
What We're Looking For:
- 5-10 years of experience in low voltage/security design, with an emphasis on quality assurance
- Expertise in enterprise security systems, including:
- Access control
- Video surveillance
- Intrusion detection
- Prior experience with MEP-T consulting firms, architectural firms, or system integrators/installers
- Strong coordination skills with MEP trades
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu, and Autodesk Navisworks
- Knowledge of architectural processes and construction documentation
- AA/BS degree in architecture, engineering, IT, or a related field (preferred)
