A global water treatment EPC firm is looking for a Senior Detailed Engineering Design Lead in Penang, Malaysia. The incumbent will be responsible for all the detailed engineering design and mechanical design drawings related to the water treatment works in a semiconductor manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare basic and detailed engineering design, and mechanical design drawings such as P&ID, Schematic diagrams on process, GA / Isometric / fabrication / assembly / installation drawings etc.
- Create and manage materials in AutoCAD Plant 3D - drawings, catalogs, maintain project specific specifications
- Generate and manage engineering lists such as equipment lists, valve lists, instrument lists, and line lists.
- Prepare bill of materials (BOM) lists for plant design projects
- Lead and coordinate a team of CAD/3D BIM modelers
- Collaborate with various design and engineering disciplines, teams, and/or external counterparts via agreed platform such as BIM360, or equivalent.
- Carry out site survey and perform verification of existing or new plant documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Construction Management / any relevant disciplines
- 10 years of design engineering experience for water treatment / power / utility plants
- Minimum 3+ years of direct experience on AutoCAD Plant 3D software
- Strong expertise in plant design drawings, principles and industry standards
- Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, Advance Steel and Inventor will be preferred
- Experienced in water and wastewater treatment industry (semiconductor projects or UPW applications will be advantageous).
