Mechanical Retrofit Engineer - New York City- Queens

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing mechanical systems
- Conducting site visits to review and provide solutions for retrofitting or replacement needs of HVAC/ boilers/ chillers and other mechanical systems
- Managing and coordinating with other project team members including architects, contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality MEP replacement and upgrade projects
- Prepare retrofit equipment proposals and bid documents for larger projects, keeping track of required bid and approval dates
- Oversee upgrades ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with management and senior staff to develop unique area of specialty
Ideal candidate:
- Experience of delivering retrofit projects
- Skills include actively engaging with diverse groups of stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration that drive successful project outcomes
- Experience of working on MEP projects and implementing inspections of mechanical systems, processes and procedures
- Knowledge to apply investigative techniques within mechanical systems design & construction failures
