The Role:
My client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer 5 to lead the design and execution of HVAC, process piping, and mechanical systems for complex industrial projects. This role requires a technical leader with a deep understanding of industrial processes, energy efficiency, and system reliability. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance operational performance and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design of HVAC, piping, and process systems for industrial facilities.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts to meet project requirements.
- Oversee the development of construction documents, specifications, and reports.
- Collaborate with structural, electrical, and process engineers to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and quality control.
- Conduct field assessments, site visits, and system troubleshooting as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and emerging technologies in industrial engineering.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial projects.
- PE license preferred.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and industry-standard modeling software.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, and other relevant industrial standards.
- Experience in HVAC, compressed air, steam, and process piping design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
