With a diverse client portfolio across multifamily, industrial, commercial, and retail sectors, as well as insurance, hospitality, and healthcare industries, the firm continues to expand its presence across the Eastern United States and Texas.
Position: A/E Managing Director - NYC
An immediate opportunity is available for a dynamic and experienced A/E Managing Director to lead the firm's New York City office. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing Division Managers, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, maintaining client relationships, and driving strategic growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee project execution, ensuring timely delivery within budget and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Provide technical guidance to teams through design and construction phases.
Conduct forensic inspections, oversee field testing, and generate expert reports.
Maintain strong client relationships, serve as a trusted advisor, and represent the firm at mediations and legal proceedings.
Identify new business opportunities and support regional expansion efforts.
Collaborate with Principals on long-term strategic planning and business development.
Manage and mentor Division Managers and office staff, conducting performance reviews and recruitment efforts.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture (MBA preferred).
10+ years of experience in the architectural and engineering consulting industry.
Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license required.
QEWI (Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector) in NY strongly preferred.
OSHA-30 Certification (NY) and a valid U.S. driver's license required.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
Expertise in building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Proficient written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
Proficiency in relevant software (AutoCAD, Revit, BricsCAD) preferred.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and site inspections as needed.
Compensation & Benefits:
$200,000 - $225,000 (dependent on experience, education, and certifications).
