About the Role
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for evaluating project requirements, analyzing blueprints and specifications, and preparing detailed cost estimates for high-profile exterior restoration projects. Your expertise will ensure competitive, precise bids that align with client needs and company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for façade restoration projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and requirements to ensure compliance with Local Law 11 and NYC building codes.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather necessary project information.
- Source and obtain pricing from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Develop comprehensive bid proposals and present them to clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure competitive estimates.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in estimating for exterior restoration projects, with a focus on façade restoration.
- In-depth knowledge of Local Law 11 and NYC building codes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
