Lead Offshore Wind WTG Maintenance Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Offshore Wind WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Hokkaido, Japan. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operational integrity of offshore wind turbines, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team for offshore wind turbines, ensuring all activities are performed safely and efficiently.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and protocols to maximize turbine uptime and performance.
- Conduct regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of wind turbine components, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and maintenance activities.
- Monitor and analyze turbine performance data to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Provide technical expertise and support for the resolution of complex maintenance issues.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of offshore wind turbine technology, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
- Ability to work in challenging offshore environments and adapt to varying weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance and operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in wind turbine maintenance or related areas.
- Experience with specific wind turbine models and manufacturers.
- Advance English language proficiency
