A global water treatment technology MNC is looking for a young and driven individual to take up a Country Manager role in Seoul, Korea. The incumbent will be responsible for setting up the business operations in Korea, focusing its technology application on seawater desalination projects. This includes operations, sales, marketing, strategic planning, financial performance etc.
Location: Seoul, Korea
Target market: Government, EPC, desalination private end-users
Responsibilities:
- Drive new business opportunities within the water treatment and seawater desalination sector to drive revenue growth.
- Oversee daily operations of desalination projects, including budgets, resources and logistics
- Execute marketing campaigns to build brand awareness and promote on desalination products and technology.
- Build and lead a team of engineers and act as the main POC for any Korea related inquiries and activities.
- Ensure all operations comply with local laws and regulations, particularly those related to water treatment and environmental standards. Identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Act as a liaison with government sectors to handle business tenders.
- Monitor financial performance, including P&L, budgets, and forecasts.
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or any other relevant disciplines. MBA and/or PhD will be preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in project sales management experience in the water treatment industry, preferably in seawater desalination or water processes.
- Proven track record in business development, operational management and leadership in water treatment sector across Korea
- Speaks fluent Korean and English
- Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management
