Job Title: Construction Superintendent (K-12 Projects)

Job Summary: The Construction Superintendent will oversee and manage K-12 construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves ensuring that all construction activities are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing educational facility projects and a strong understanding of the unique requirements of K-12 environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage all phases of K-12 construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Site Supervision: Oversee daily site operations, including coordinating subcontractors, managing site logistics, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all work meets the required standards and specifications. Address any issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
- Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings. Ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with school administrators, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns.
- Resource Management: Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment. Ensure resources are available as needed to avoid project delays.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction. Develop cost-effective solutions to maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on K-12 projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
