Job Title: Construction Assistant Superintendent (K-12 Projects)

Job Summary: The Construction Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent in managing K-12 construction projects. This role involves overseeing daily site operations, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met, and maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with K-12 construction projects and a strong understanding of educational facility requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing K-12 construction projects. Ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Site Supervision: Monitor daily site activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues.
- Materials Management: Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment. Ensure timely availability of resources to avoid project delays.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures. Ensure all construction work meets the required standards and specifications.
- Safety Management: Conduct safety meetings, enforce safety protocols, and ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including school administrators, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Provide regular updates on project progress.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction. Develop cost-effective solutions to maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on K-12 projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
