Job Title: Solar Project Manager
Overview: As a Solar Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and completion of solar energy projects. You will coordinate with various stakeholders including engineers, contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of solar energy systems, project management principles, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Create project schedules and milestones using project management tools.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project execution.
- Address stakeholder concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
Budget Management:
- Develop project budgets and track expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor costs and implement cost-saving measures when possible.
- Provide regular budget updates to management and stakeholders.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards for solar energy projects.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Conduct inspections and quality audits as necessary.
Resource Management:
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project objectives.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors, including negotiating contracts and overseeing performance.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to procure materials and equipment as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders.
- Generate regular progress reports for management and stakeholders.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on project sites.
- Implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks to personnel and the environment.
- Promote a culture of safety among project team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the renewable energy industry with a focus on solar energy.
- Strong understanding of solar energy systems, technologies, and installation practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Business proficiency in English or Chinese and Japanese
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
