Job Title: Instrumentation and Controls Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Controls Manager to lead and oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems across our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership experience, and a proven track record of managing teams in industrial settings, including water/wastewater, manufacturing, or energy industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead and manage a team of instrumentation and controls engineers and technicians.
- Provide mentorship, training, and career development for team members.
System Design & Implementation:
- Oversee the design, specification, installation, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems for various projects.
- Ensure that systems comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and client specifications.
Project Management & Coordination:
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring the successful delivery of instrumentation and control system projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project management teams to integrate controls and instrumentation into larger systems.
Maintenance & Optimization:
- Ensure optimal performance and reliability of installed systems through ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
- Lead efforts to improve system efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all instrumentation and control systems are fully documented and compliant with relevant codes and standards.
- Maintain records, reports, and manuals for all system installations and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or a related field.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in industries such as water/wastewater, Chemical, Oil & Gas
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of control systems, PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and automation.
- Proven experience in project management and leading teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
