We are currently partnering up with a leading global manufacturing company in the Transmission & Distribution sector, who is looking for an experienced HR Manager to drive human resources strategies in the Malaysia market, with support across the APAC region, including Thailand. This role is pivotal in supporting organizational growth, implementing strategic hiring, optimizing performance management, and maintaining an efficient organizational structure in a high-demand manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Hiring & Talent Acquisition:
- Lead and manage recruitment efforts, ensuring a robust talent pipeline to meet business needs.
- Partner with business leaders to understand hiring requirements and deliver quality candidates aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement hiring strategies tailored to Malaysia and APAC markets, ensuring alignment with company values and culture.
Performance Management:
- Develop and implement performance KPIs, ensuring clear alignment with business objectives.
- Guide the organization in setting individual, team, and department performance goals.
- Support the review process to ensure consistent feedback, performance development, and motivation.
Organizational Development & Structure:
- Support the design and implementation of the organizational structure, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and alignment with business growth.
- Ensure the HR practices align with the company's global HR framework while considering the local needs of the Malaysia and APAC markets.
- Assist in optimizing the employee lifecycle, including on-boarding, engagement, development, and retention strategies.
HR Strategy & Best Practices:
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives, promoting a culture of high performance.
- Work closely with regional HR teams to ensure consistency and best practices across different locations.
- Advise management on HR issues related to local labor laws, regulations, and market conditions in Malaysia and APAC.
Employee Engagement & Retention:
- Foster a positive working environment that promotes employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Drive retention strategies, focusing on career development, employee welfare, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in HR management, with a strong background in manufacturing or a similar industrial sector.
- Proven track record in strategic hiring, performance management, and organizational development.
- Experience managing HR in an APAC context, with knowledge of Malaysia labor laws.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple regions and cultures.
- Knowledge of HR software and tools; experience with performance management systems is a plus.
