Role Overview
The EPC Director will lead the end-to-end execution of solar projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. This is a critical leadership position requiring strong technical expertise, project management skills, and cross-cultural communication capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Oversee all phases of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) for solar projects, from concept to commissioning.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, and contractors.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project execution.
- Budget and Schedule Management: Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.
- Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, contractors, and service providers, ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership and solutions during project execution, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and address potential project risks, implementing strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Language Proficiency: Utilize Mandarin and English skills to effectively communicate with regional stakeholders and international partners.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in EPC roles within the solar or renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale solar projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of solar project design, procurement, construction, and commissioning processes.
- Language Skills:
- Fluent in Mandarin (written and spoken) for effective communication with regional teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in English for reporting and collaboration with international teams.
- Leadership: Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams and foster collaboration.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
