Job Overview: As the Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for leading the commercial strategy and initiatives in Taiwan and across APAC. You will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, establishing partnerships, and maximizing revenue opportunities in the rapidly expanding offshore wind market in Taiwan.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with business objectives and market dynamics in Taiwan. This includes market analysis, competitor assessment, and identifying key growth opportunities.
Business Development: Lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, including project development, partnerships, and strategic alliances. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and customers.
Contract Negotiation and Management: Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and execution of commercial agreements, including supply contracts, service agreements, and joint venture partnerships. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Revenue Optimization: Develop pricing strategies, revenue models, and sales forecasts to maximize profitability and market share. Monitor market trends and customer needs to adapt commercial strategies accordingly.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Set clear goals and performance targets, and provide regular feedback and coaching to drive team success.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks, including regulatory, financial, and operational risks. Implement effective risk management processes and procedures to safeguard the interests of the company.
Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of market developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes in the offshore wind sector in Taiwan. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on market intelligence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in a commercial leadership role within the renewable energy or offshore wind industry.
- Deep understanding of the Taiwanese offshore wind market, including regulatory framework, market dynamics, and key stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management and deal structuring.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on driving business growth and profitability.
